Our story begins with Jasper. This beautiful, tiny, rocky mountain town and the epic, expansive wilderness which surrounds it, are the inspiration for Lost Lands Café.

We consider Lost Lands a haven where Jasper’s forest essence is brought indoors. We aspire to be a sanctuary; a place where you can relax, visit, drink, eat, and be merry.

Somewhere to get lost. Somewhere to be found.

Lost Lands Trail

High above the north end of town, there lives a trail that few visit, and all who do, treasure: Lost Lands.

Officially noted as being a ‘technical rooty rocky trail single track’ trail, Lost Lands is a haven for bikers, hikers, runners, horses, and snow shoers.

The trail is aptly named, as many who frequent it find that being on it allows them turn off from the outside world and get lost in the tranquility of nature.

Does the trail call to you? Ask a local where it is, maybe they’ll tell. Perhaps a fresh squeezed juice or a tasty wrap will help convince them.

Lost Lands Cafe

Humans know that things that are found have once been lost. It’s The latter is necessary for the former. It is understood by a child missing a mitten, and an adult finding a new home in an unexpected place. You have to BE lost to BE found. Herein lies the real beauty of Lost Lands trail, and the inspiration for Lost Lands Cafe.

Most of us strive to get lost from time to time. To escape the world, turn our phone off, and run like a wild horse in the rocky mountain wildflowers. But what are we really seeking? Are we merely trying to find a real connection? A meaningful experience? An honest emotional reaction?

Maybe you’ll find what what you’re looking for at Last Lands Cafe. Maybe you’ll take a panini and a smoothie with you to a place that will. Maybe you’ll fall in love with another traveller. Maybe the world if go quiet for 30 minutes and you’ll finally have time to think through that new business idea, that big trip, that passion project,
